Classic 1976 Honda CB400F
Classic 1976 Honda CB400F
Here i have for sale a lovely rare 1976 Honda CB400F commonly known as the Honda 400 Four, produced by Honda from 1975 to 1977. It first appeared at the 1974 Cologne motorcycle show, Intermot, and was dropped from the Honda range in 1978. It had an air-cooled transverse-mounted 408 cc inline four-cylinder engine with valves per cylinder operated by a single chain-driven overhead camshaft. This stunning example as only covered 29,858 miles, it comes with a V5C and two keys, also a Motorcheck provenance report which is all clear apart from showing a colour change on the 30/10/1991 from red to blue which as you can appreciate its only the tank and side panels. This motorcycle still has the original registration number, and the frame and engine numbers match the V5C and the provenance report, and due to it being an Historic Vehicle its MOT and TAX exempt which is a bonus. Overall condition for this 45 year old Classic is outstanding a real credit to the previous owner who owned this motorcycle for the last 10 years he purchased from Sherwood Motorcycles a Suzuki Main Dealer on the 20th of August 2011 and was a display bike in their showroom for 10 years, previous owner stored it in a heated garage and only covered 115 miles in his ownership, deviations from original are non standard Hagon rear shocks and a slightly champagne finish to the cam cover and upper crankcase, due to it not being used much over the last 10 years it may require some light recommissioning, there are some very minor age related marks. These Japanese Classics are becoming highly collectable, this charming motorcycle is a perfect usable classic, a great investment for the future.
