Rare 1964 Triumph Spitfire 4 Mark 1 Convertible SOLD

£0.00
sold out

Here is a great Barn Fine which has been dry stored for 40 years and has never been advertised for sale until now, will require a full restoration. It is an extremely rare 1964 Triumph Spitfire 4 Mark 1 Convertible. It has only had two previous owners from new, the last owner acquired the vehicle on the 12th of August 1970, and since 1980 it has not been used, and as I have previously said it has been dry stored. It comes with the old-style logbook ( R.F. 60 ) and the blue V5C. This beautiful car was originally supplied by a Triumph Dealer in Stoke On Trent on the 18th June 1964 and still benefits from having its original Registration Number ( 4555 EH ) which is a very desirable and valuable Number Plate on its own, however it would be a shame to sell it separately because its part of the charm and history of the car. It is a Matching Numbers Vehicle.... please see photo of the Commission Plate ( FC32498 ) which is the Chassis Number the below number is the Colour Code ( 19 11 ) and the plate below is the Body Number ( 31032 ).... please see photo of the Engine Number ( FC32130HE ) its the Original Engine from New and the Number matches the Old Style Log Book R.F. 60 and the V5C, the Engine turns and is free. The car was originally finished in White but the first owner had it painted in Bronze purely for cosmetic reasons which i must say does suit the car. The interior is totally original and has never been touched. It comes with a original hardtop which i believe was not standard the fabric is missing for the soft top but i do have the original roof frame, also has a 1960's RAC Badge on the grill and Styla Bullet Chrome Racing Mirrors and comes with the original Owners Handbook. This 57 year old iconic Classic is a very rare and original car i believe there are only 34 Mark 1 models registered or sorned in the UK, this car could when restored be a concours candidate a sound investment for the future, sold in accordance with social distance recommendations.
